Major General Dilawar Singh has been a
Senior General in the Indian Army and he was also selected to be the
National Director General for Youth Development in the Government of
India. A well educated, highly trained and experienced professional
leader with both national and international achievements, he has a
Masters in Defence Studies, a second Masters in Management Sciences and a
Ph.D in Youth Development and Management Strategy and Policy.
He has
successfully completed training at numerous Centres of Excellence and
achieved numerous distinctions and national and international awards. He
has proven track record of highest achievements over his 40 plus years
of career and comes with rich experience in different development and
financial sectors.
General Dilawar has a adequate experience of
managing mega infrastructure development projects, technological
development projects, organisational development, reshaping and
redesigning of organisations, communications development projects, Youth
development projects, tree plantation as well as rivers cleaning and
ecosystem development projects.
He also has hands on experience of
preparing long term development plans for Military Force Structures and
organisations, Weapons, Equipment and Systems Profile development plans
and Military modernisation related Acquisition plans, Training Plans and
Financial Plans for the entire Indian Army and Youth Development plans
for the Government of India
He has headed the Youth Leadership
Company in the prestigious Indian Military Academy, Youth Development
Organisation of a State and he has also headed the largest Indian
National Youth Development Organisation of the Government of India
responsible for development of 8.5 million Youth annually for
leadership, skill development, sports, performing arts, culture, tree
plantation, water harvesting, water conservation, rivers cleaning and
other environmental development and climate change mitigation
activities, besides conducting international exchange programs and Youth
parliaments.
He has been the Dy Director General at the Indian
Army’s Financial Planning department and managed Government Finances of
upto US Dollars 2,35,00,000, annually besides conducting research on
financial matters for the Indian defence Forces.
He has also been
involved in the leadership role at the highest level in the Government
of India as the Member of the Consultative Committee of the New
Education Policy of the Govt of India, Member of the Expert Committee of
the University Grants Commission of the Government of India as well as
numerous other Committees in different ministries of the Government of
India.
He has been on the Board of Governors, Executive committees,
Academic Councils of numerous Universities and has also been the
Consultant and Advisor to the Indian Centre for Interdisciplinary
Studies in Science and Technology and led numerous innovations for the
Armed Forces and the Country.
He has been a visiting faculty at
numerous centres of academic excellence in both Military and Civilian
Universities including National University of Forensic Studies, National
Security University, Agriculture University, Technological University,
three different Indian Institutes of Management and National Institute
of Financial Management, Institute for training Income Tax Officers and
CENTRAD in addition to the Army War College, Defence Services Staff
College, Indian Military Academy.
He has led numerous Government of
India delegations to USA, China, Russia, S. Korea, Kenya, Greece,
Hungary, Belize, Srilanka, Maldives and Bangladesh. He has also led the
delegations to the Commonwealth and BRICS youth summits.
He has been
the President of Para Sports Foundation, President Tamo Martial Arts and
Advisor for numerous Sports organisations including being Vice
President of the Indian Kungfu Federation and advisor Paralympic
Committee of India.
